Phanuelism is an Enochian monotheistic ethnoreligion that incarnates as the collective various cultural and religious traditions of the Phanuelite people. Founded by the prophet Enoch and being the observation of the Ebraic Covenant established between God and the Phanuelite people, Phanuelism is considered to be one of the earliest examples of an ethnoreligion on Plateia. Interaction with the Taalumot is considered a key component of the religion, with metaphysical exegesis being performed to unravel the concealed, mystical dimensions of Phanuelite scriptures and give forth new knowledge. This practice stems from modern Phanuelism's history; Soterianity's self-proclaimed messianic fulfillment of pre-partitioned New Temple Phanuelism and the later failures of apocalyptic Phanuelite cults during revolts against the Parsan Empire forced believers to turn to Phanuelite mystics for guidance and meaning in such a fractious time, supplanting prior supremacy of the rabbinic clergy.
Modern Phanuelism is considered to officially be a “post-temple partition” faith, with the Parsan Empire having forced the partitioning of the sacred Second Temple across multiple Enochian religious sects in [date] as a punishment upon the Phanuelites for their rebellions. Soterianity, and later Zuhd, came to own portions of the Second Temple's grounds, which led many Phanuelites to declare the temple mount as a whole to be invalid. These sects either wait for the new temple to be built again (under the Reconstructionist school) or claim that their sliver of the mount is the successive Third Temple (under the Continuationalist school).
The sacred texts of Phanuelism primarily lie within the Phanuelite Scriptures, with the exegetic interpretations of Taalumot being conducted through them in tandem with the Perush (Phanuelite scriptural exegesis) and the collective halacha (Phanuelite religious laws).
Phanuelism is found mainly in the region of scriptural Phanuel (Panuyil), its historical origin. Phanuelite communities exist across wider Plateia, ranging from other federations in the Union State to that of Esmaria and other areas in the Coalition.
