Puranasikkha Nirvanism is a unique current of Nirvanism that espouses a nontheistic and austere reality as codified in the Tanti Canon, its most important body of text. Compared to other forms of Nirvanism such as Mahagaurava, Puranasikkha is much more monastic in function and does not necessarily open the path to enlightenment beyond the monks and faithful who give the effort to achieve so. The monastic and canonic functionalities of Puranasikkha make it a much more codified current of Nirvanism as compared to the looser, more fluid Mahagaurava. This does not mean that it is exempt from derivatives; Phlov Meatophum, a new-age religion, utilizes Puranasikkha as a foundation.

Historically, the religion has a tendency towards being enshrined in central governance, having been the state religion of multiple countries in Southeastern Asteria prior to the inception of the Union State. This role has been supplanted by elements of the Prostasist Party over time.

Puranasikkha is practiced in the southeastern portions of Asteria, with populations in the Arioserican Federation, Soanatetian Federation, and the Biamadetan Federation and a smaller presence in the Ancorian state of Itacati.
