Parousianism
Parousianism is a sect of Pietist Soterianity with origins prior to the Twilight War. It is known for its deviating stances on soteriology and when the Sabbath is held relative to other Soterian denominations, with the official position of Parousian congregations being that souls shall be annihilated on the Day of Judgement if snt to Hell and that the sabbath should be observed on Saturdays. Parousianism places specific emphasis on the Second Coming of Soter.
Originally founded in Watchoo in North Esmaria, the Parousian faith has seen evangelization well beyond the borders of the Emerald Alliance and is a large distinct denomination of Pietism in terms of claimed membership. It places importance on continuing Phanuelite dietary laws and promoting humanitarianism. The faith has seen criticism by governments for the maintaining conscientious objection in adherents serving within the military in addition to proliferating conspiracy theories.
The Parousian Church places specific importance on notions such as the infallibility of the Diatheca and the existence of the Trinity. However, they also maintain the concept of investigative judgement, where one is to be cleansed of sins prior to Soter's return, in addition to the teaching of heavenly sanctuary to which Soter is elevated to the role of High Priest through his sacrifice for the atonement of mankind.
