Ibotirama is a state in northeastern Ancoria. It is bordered to the west by Igaci, to the north by Nhoesembé, Inaiê and Caiubi, to the west by Caturama and Tecarema, and to the south by Paraibuna and Pijirica. Its capital is Olavo Filho. The AN-232, colloquially known as the Coari Highway, runs through the state, with trucking being a vital part of the local economy's logistics. Agriculture is a significant staple of Ibotirama's economy, with soybeans and cattle products being a primary export to neighboring states. Many major manufacturers also operate industries in the Ibotiramense hinterland, in particular the automotive industry and defense contractors such as ENGEBEL and IDASA.

Ibotirama is also known for its largely unperturbed beauty, with vast savannas spanning much of the state. This unique form of tropical savanna is referred to as the cerrado. Ibotirama's most distinctive natural feature are those of the chapadões, mesa-like sandstone formations which dot its landscape. The most prominent among these is located within Chapada dos Reis National Park, which is also known for its waterfalls and hot springs. Maned wolves, jaguars, tamanduas and monkeys and other animals typical of the cerrado.

The first expeditions into Ibotirama were carried out by gaúcho expeditionaries in the 7th century S.C., which was soon followed by the discovery of gold. Ibotirama became the northernmost frontier of Viratian settlement, both a strategic frontier against Flacklander encroachment and a hub of rich natural resources. Following Ancoria's independence, it was made into an imperial province, later attaining statehood following the end of the monarchy. Today, Ibotirama boasts a distinct culture influenced by its historical frontier status, with a distinct accent compared to its surrounding neighbors.
