Eulália (Goitacá: Caraguataí; Stepetsian: Евлалія, Evlaliia), colloquially White Stepetsia, is a state in southern Ancoria. Bordered by Místria to the north, Paranaguaçu and Piemonte to its south, and an international border with Guasuguay to its west, Eulália is one of the smaller states in the Federation. Its capital is Meiembipe, situated along the Gulf of Místria.

Eulália possesses a unique climate relative to its neighbors further north, hosting the northern reaches of the country's subtropical araucaria forests. Cultivation of coffee, wheat and soybeans is common in the state. The epicenter of Anatolist Soterianity in Ancoria—and more broadly, Esmaria as a whole—Eulália possesses a culture distinct from the broader Ancorian Federation on account of its majority Stepetsian populace, being the seat of the Stepetsian Eastern Church in Ancoria. The majority of the state's population speaks Stepetsian as a first language.

History

The territory defining present-day Eulália was initially part of the broader Captaincy of Místria, with only minimal settlement beyond southward expeditions by bandeirante explorers and slavers, and the establishment of fortified missions by the Canonical Church's Order of Soter. The Imperial Territory of Eulália would be split from Místria Province in the late 8th century S.C., with the intent of settling the region and reinforcing Ancoria's uncertain southern border. Only in the early 9th century S.C., during the Imperial period, did mass settlement of Eulália take place. Fleeing persecution by the Zalesian Tsar, over 100,000 Stepetsians were permitted to migrate to the region in 803 S.C., settling thereafter and bringing their language and religion. Eulália would be elevated to the status of province in 860 S.C., and would attract numerous further migrations from Zalesia in the aftermath of the Second Smuta.

Since the aftermath of the Twilight War, and the founding of the Union State thereafter, many waves of Stepetsian immigration have come to Eulália, fleeing the Union State's cultural and political oppression. This has made it a hotspot for the Stepetsian diaspora abroad, as well as other Vendic peoples that make Ancoria their new home.
