Benenuntial Pietism is a branch of Pietist Soterianity that aligns itself with more fundamentalist evaluations of scripture, in addition to having a particularly “evangelical” persuasion—namely in the zealous attempts by its adherents to the spread the faith and the firebrand personalities that it spawns. It is not to be confused with the term “fundamentalist Soterianity”, which is a more broadly applied term to Soterian practices that use fundamentalist interpretation without necessarily being a part of Benenuntial tradition.

The origins of Benenuntialism lies in the transformation of Pietist denominations within the bowels of Esmaria, who had began to adapt into their practices the ideas of spiritual gifts being bequeathed by God onto believers. Seeing their work as “continuationalist”, this stood in opposition to the traditional doctrines of Pietist and Canonical Soterianity alike, which espoused “cessationism”, or the end of spiritual gifts in the current age. From their hearth in the old country of the former Esmarian Federation, Benenuntialist Pietism and its evangelical methodology of spreading their faith has allowed their presence to expand beyond the country and into several locales across Plateia. In addition, they form the nucleus of quite a few of the fundamentalist Soterian and conservative movements within the Emerald Alliance and certain members of the Coalition.

In Benenuntialist Soterianity, its core tenet lies in diathecal infallibility and the inability of the scriptures to contain error. Although this belief of inerrancy is also held in many other denominations of Soterianity, the Pietest origins of Benenuntialism usually lends a literalist interpretation of the laws and stories set forth therein. As such, they place particular importance in Pietist orthodoxy and aversion to heterodox derivatives of ideas from diathecal text.
