Chienkuntao
Chienkuntao is an ancient Serican philosophy and religion centered on living in harmony with the Tao, often translated as “the Way.” Originating over two thousand years ago, Chiekuntao views the Tao as the ultimate, undefinable force that creates, connects, and flows through everything in the universe. It emphasizes understanding the natural order and aligning oneself with its effortless momentum.
A central principle of Chiekuntaoist thought is wu wei, which translates to “effortless action;” acting without forcing, over-calculating, or struggling against the natural current of life. Along with wu wei, Taoism centers on balance, famously illustrated by the concept of Yin and Yang, the idea that seemingly opposing forces are actually complementary and interdependent parts of a whole.
