 The **Sovereign Colonies Compact** is an intergovernmental military alliance of Spacer nations, primarily located in Plateia's [[L4]] and [[L5]] points. Founded in the wake of [[wiki:operation_boswilger|Operation Boswilger,]] the Compact's founding objectives center around political independence from [[wiki:plateia|Plateian]] hegemony, mutual defense of [[wiki:spacers|Spacer]] interests, and self-determination for spacefaring peoples. While otherwise defined by a disparate mixture of political views and ideologies, all members of the Compact are united by general ideas of Spacer nationalism, as well as general disillusionment from previous conflicts, such as the [[wiki:colony_war|Colony War.]]

 A multitude of strategic and political threats serve to leave the Compact in a tenuous position — aside from the disparity in manpower and resources between the Compact and the Coalition, not all inner feuds and political rivalries have dissipated with the looming threat of war. Many upstart opportunists see the changing tides brought about by the advent of spacer nationalism as a chance to secure their own base of power. Not all agree on the direction the future conflict might take, either.
