The Tiamat Federal District is a special administrative unit of the Union State with jurisdiction over the gas giant of Tiamat, its various moons, and all of their Laplace points. The Tiamat Federal District is the most remote territorial possession of the Union State, and consists of three subordinate krais: TL4 Krai, TL5 Krai and Barbelo Krai. It was officially formed in 0102 R.C. after two Anaheim Cylinders, Polyus and Almaz, were transported from the inner Solar System to Tiamat's L4 and L5 Laplace points and simultaneously opened for population transfer. The Union State's Tiamat possessions are heavily reliant on outside support from other regions and are mostly oriented towards supporting mining on Barbelo.
