The Kingdom of Novia is a theocratic monarchy located in the northeastern section of the Zanobian continent. It is bordered by Mestraim to the north, Guesia to the east, Ungala to the south and Burgo to the west. Novia is de jure ruled by a cadet branch of Mestraim's Eli dynasty, being a former member of the now-defunct North Zanobian Union, but is de facto governed by the Exarch of Novia, a senior church official in the Mestraic Eastern Church affiliated with Mestraim's government. Contained within Mestraim's sphere of influence, most aspects of Novia's economy and society are tied to Mestraim, and ties between the two countries have only grown stronger since the beginning of the second century R.C. with substantial Mestraic investments into infrastructure and resource development, as well as the building up of a sizeable military to complement Mestraim's own.
