Maryamism, as the third-largest Aliyati tradition, focuses on the worship of the mother goddess Maryama, the divine feminine power and the dynamic energy behind all existence. Maryamism regards the Mother Goddess as Maiporulu, from whom even Permala and Kuta derive their power, and often entitles her as the Supreme Goddess. Its theology blends union of the self and Maiporulu, with tantric practice and cosmology, emphasizing the unity of the material and spiritual realms.
It is considered to have arisen around the same time as the other currents of Aliyatar in history within South Asteria.
