The Free State of Bairgland is a country located in northeastern Eurysia. Bordered by Vesta to its west and Lebusia to its south and east, Bairglanders have always prided themselves on being 'autochthonous' and fiercely protective of their unique culture, which is only very distantly related to Vesta's. It is also one of the poorest Eurysian nations, however, owing to its small size and lack of readily exploited natural resources. Much of Bairgland's population has also taken to the stars in the past century, forming large communities in space and on Apason. For this reason, Bairgland claims one of the largest expatriate populations relative to its own of any Coalition member.
