The Guesian Empire is an imperial monarchy located in east Zanobia. Bordered to the north by Mestraim and Novia, to the south by Ruera and Kilimambuni, to the east by Baladissumal and Sumaladesha, and to the west by Bomongo, it is situated along the Magnirimanean Sea, which separates the Zanobia and Asterian continents. A significant military and political force on the continent, the Guesian Empire is a key Commonwealth ally, closely aligned to the Empire of Itzmilco on common ideological grounds. Guesia hosts a significant troop presence of Quisquellan and Itzmilcan forces, serving as a deterrent for Guesia's strategic adversaries. However, the Guesian Empire is also a noteworthy potency in its own right, with military deployments not only within Guesia itself, but also across the broader Zanobian continent.
Guesia is governed by a semi-constitutional imperial monarch, in which the Negusa Nagast wields significant political authority beyond his ceremonial roles. His advisors and provincial governors comprise the Imperial Council, which is tasked with advising the emperor and appointing a regent in situations where the emperor is too young or otherwise incapable of serving in his duties.
