The Five Principles of Mankind (acronymized as the “FPM”) is a novel ideology of Kunlunese origin that synthesizes the concept of spacer nationalism with that of the specific nation of Kunlun under the auspices of Labourist and Prostasist-derived social and economic tenets to bolster the efficacy of the state. Created by Chen Chengyang, the current Commissioner-in-Chief of the People's Collective and founder of the New Mankind Movement, the Five Principles of Mankind declares the following essential tenets: self-governance, self-sufficiency, self-possession, self-expansion and self-determination for the human race (and fore-mostly the space colonies), without being tied down by the machinations of the human homeworld of Plateia.
The FPM was formally promulgated in the government of Kunlun following the colony's liberation by Grensland from the Coalition of Congressional Nations in Operation Boswilger, and the re-instatement of Chen as leader of the polity. The ideology is not considered to be “structural” in nature, as it is inherently a momentum-based and guiding revolutionary phenomenon spawned by Chen and the NMM as a means for the independence of Kunlun. Due to this reason, it does not establish a formal framework of government or economy, instead laying the foundations for future democratic governance (or otherwise) by the way of independent space nations. This has led to a frozen oligarchy being set upon Kunlun as Chen's rule becomes one of democratic promise and a familial-dictatorial reality.
