Vasatian Federation

The Vasatian Federation is the largest non-Plateian federation of the Union State, comprising all of its territorial possessions on the planet of Vasati. Once neglected in favor of the Union State's spatial holdings in Vasati's orbit, it has seen a massive expansion in both territory and population since the Colony War's ending. Its original holdings have begun to be eclipsed in significance by the 'new territories' as millions of variously-willing citizens from all across the terrestial federations and space have been relocated to the Vasatian Federation's expanded holdings in the Mare Atargatis, while the region's preexisting Coalition population has been thoroughly crushed under the Union State's boot, allowed only those relative privilieges it chooses to bestow upon them. As most of the Federation remains an ecologically barren desert, the primary economic activity is resource extraction, performed with the assistance of forced labor - unsophisticated, but also an industry primed for exponential growth. A beefy military presence is maintained across the Federation, and its soldiers, as well as longer-term residents, still boast of the successes they enjoyed against the 'decadent Coalition' in the Colony War.
