Archons
In Theophanism, the Archons function as the Great Serpent’s celestial enforcers, each ruling over specific realms or laws of the material cosmos. Manufactured by the Serpent to maintain the structural integrity of his physical prison, these tyrannical entities act as cosmic jailers who actively suppress divine awareness within humanity. They do so through the manipulation of fate, enforcement of the physical laws that bind souls to bodily decay, and craft spiritual traps such as dogmatic fear, worldly ambition, or sensory addiction to keep human consciousness suppressed.
When an individual dies, the Archons guard the threshold between the physical universe and the divine realm to prevent reunion with God.
