The **State of Yucay** is a one-party unitary state located in western [[South Esmaria]], along the [[Condean Mountains]]. Bordered by [[Chinchapacha]] to the north, [[Los Condes]] to the west, and [[Colla]] to the south, Yucay was once considered the historical center of Condean civilization. Its capital, [[Intiwasi]], is one of the oldest cities in the Esmarian continent, equaled only by the likes of [[Tōnallan]]. Left in disarray by the disintegration of the [[Condean Union]] shortly before the commencement of the Rational Calendar, Yucay has never truly recovered from the collapse of the Union. Today, even as Los Condes has far eclipsed Yucay's relevance among the Condean states, Yucay maintains itself the center of Condean civilization, profits from the [[Pan-Condean Maglev]] going to the restoration of ancient architecture.
Power in Yucay is concentrated in the [[Intip Ñawpaq Akllasqankuna]], a party of reactionary [[Inti]] fundamentalists seeking to immortalize the Condean Union's legacy and uphold Yucay's perceived inheritance of the [[Sapa Inka]]. In this manner, it has grown to mirror [[Itzmilco]] in a number of ways, advancing a nationalistic, indigenist agenda. Despite the Condean nation's diminished relevance in the space age, it still maintains noteworthy influence in the region, owed to its position along the Pan-Condean Maglev and its large military.
