The **Settlement Veterans' Army** is...
History
The SVA was established in RC 0116 by the disgruntled Coalition troops of the 7th Offworld Corps in the immediate aftermath of the Colony War, under the leadership of General John "Jack" Mauzer. Comprised primarily of Vasati natives dissatisfied with the relatively lackluster outcome of their sacrifices in the Vasatian theatre of the war, as well as rampant and unchecked megacorporate corruption and abuse on Vasati, the Settlement Veterans' Army aspires to establish a "Soldier's Republic" in the Great Equatorial Basin region of the planet Vasati, by Vasatians and for Vasatians. This movement was also backed by a variety of dubious corporate and military interests, with just under half of the SVA's leading brass holding former Fleet Intelligence ties.
The Army's military-industrial development is handled by Bellicose Arsenal Group, comprised of rogue elements of Standard Atomics' Vasati branch. The SVA also receives materiel support from Grensland, albeit in a less direct capacity than the SIF.
