**Heterousian Soterianity** ---- | || ^ The Penitent Cross used by member churches. ^^ ^ Classification | Enochian | ^ Scripture | Holy Diatheca | ^ Theology | Penitent theology | ^ Region | Primarily Thule and historical Thulean colonies | **Penitent Soterianity**, also known as **Penitentialism**, is a sect of Soterianity that originates from the Thulean Isles. Combining Soterian theology with popular figures and traditions of indigenous Thulean culture, Penitentialism harbors its own unique configuration of saints that are venerated through their own rites. Due to the history of religious tensions within Asconia in the past, the sect sees Pietist denominations in an overall unfavorable light; Canonicism is, however, seen in a more favorable light as a result of similar theological approaches. Penitentialism is seen as neither Pietist nor Canonical, and is functionally considered its own derivative of Soterianity. Beyond Thule, it sees practice as a remnant religion in the vestiges of historical Thulean colonies. Theologically, Penitent Soterianity bases its faith on the Holy Diatheca. Claiming apostolic succession, the Penitents also espouse various traditions from Soterian elders in the religion's early history. A unique feature of the faith is the Compilations of the Prayers, a compendium of various services all in one prayer book for use by its member congregations. The Compilation is the key binder of the Penitent Communion, serving as its liturgical basis.
