Situated along its Hyperian shore, it is bordered to the west by Nhoesembé, and Inaiê in the east. While one of the smaller states in the Federation, it is a noteworthy exporter of food and key resources, such as rubber. The AN-233 highway runs through the northern shore of the country, while the AN-031 connects to the broader Coari Highway. Caiubi is also known for its natural features, with the Dunes of Guará being recognized as a noteworthy ecological feature. The Macapaba River runs through the state, nurturing oases in the caatinga terrain further south and east. The beaches and lagoons along its northern coast are a major source of tourism for the state, with [Fortaleza Mendoza] in particular being host to the eponymous fortress behind its name, constructed in typical Ancorian imperial style. Initially settled by Flacklanders in the 6th century, the Viratian conquest would be followed by Ancorian independence shortly thereafter, from which the Imperial period saw settlement of the region and the founding of the current capital, Fortaleza Mendoza. Owing to this mixed heritage, the Caiubienses speak with a distinct Low Vestan accent.
