With the area being subject to significant interplay between Eastern and Canonical Soterianity due to its geographic position, the local Bathinian population had frequent admixture of different liturgical and ecclesiastical concepts. Although Canonical authorities attempt to strengthen their position in the region, this was met with middling success due to poor communication and organization.
